 It is superstitiously believed that the funerary objects can be brought into the ghostdom and used by the dead. At the very beginning the funerary objects were daily necessities. Since the Song Dynasty, paper funerary objects came into vogue. People make them in the form of furniture and household applicance with bamboo strips, reed and sorghum stalk, and then paste them with coloured paper and decorate them with paper-cut artifacts in order to burn them easily.
 It can be made in the form of figurine, horse, applicance and house and burnt at the funeral to consecrate the dead.The superstitious practice can be traced back to long time ago and has become a trade. Theatrical tales are painted on it, which have nothing to do with the funeral.
